S.H.A.R.E. Annual Fund

Support Her Activities Resources and Experiences

The S.H.A.R.E. campaign is our Council's annual fund raiser.  The money raised by generous contributions, both large and small, supports more than 500 programs and services for the 41,000 girls and 18,000 adult volunteers served by Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts (GSEM).

  • The $12 annual membership fee that each Girl Scout pays is sent directly to the Girl Scouts USA national office.
  • S.H.A.R.E. Annual Fund donations stay in eastern Massachusetts and benefit local girls.
  • The behind-the-scenes cost to provide programming to each girl is an average of $290 annually. Your donation helps GSEM bridge the gap between fees charged and actual program costs.
  • S.H.A.R.E. Annual Fund donations are used to:
    • subsidize fees to keep programs cost-effective for every family
    • fund programs and safety training for volunteers working with girls
    • offer financial assistance
    • maintain GSEM's 13 camp properties

Our Service Unit's 2012 S.H.A.R.E. Goal

Last year the Concord-Carlisle SU had a goal to have 100% awareness within our Scouts' families about the S.H.A.R.E. program and to increase the percentage of families that donated to the annual fund.  Stay tuned to see how we fared with our 2012 goal and what we're setting our sights on for 2013.
